There are a number of potential reasons as to why you may not be able to output video from your OPPO player to your display, and the majority of issues can be resolved by following the troubleshooting steps listed below.

Disable Deep Colour

1. Go to the Setup Menu and select Video Setup.

2. Select HDMI Options.

3. Ensure that Deep Colour is set to Off for both HDMI 1 and HDMI 2.

4. Test to see if the dropout issues persist.

Change the Output Resolution

In most cases, the player's default Output Resolution setting of Auto will result in the player outputting the highest supported video resolution to the connected display. In some cases, however, a display may not properly inform the player of the resolutions that it is capable of receiving, and a loss of video output may occur. For instance, this can occur when a display does not identify itself as being able to receive a maximum resolution of 1080i, and the player attempts to send a 1080p signal.

1. Locate the Resolution button at the bottom left corner of the remote.

2. Press the Resolution button once to display the current resolution on the player's front panel display.

3. Each subsequent press of the Resolution button will change the setting for Output Resolution.

4. Allow roughly 5 seconds for the resolution change to occur.

Note: the BDP-10xAU series of players is capable of outputting a 4Kx2K resolution, and if this resolution is selected within the player but a 1080p (or lower) display is being used, there will be no video output.

Try an Alternate HDMI Cable

HDMI cables can fail regardless of their perceived quality or cost. Using a different HDMI cable is one of the quickest and easiest troubleshooting steps you can employ to resolve these types of issues. If you're using an after-market cable and are getting no video output even after trying the troubleshooting steps listed above, try using the HDMI cable that came bundled with your OPPO player and see if the issue persists.
